Song remix shorten intro

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how to shorten the intro of a song specifically in audition remix. 

I have a song I want to use for video, but the intro of the song before the vocals come in is way too long, is there a way to target certain areas of the song to be cut. Or does audition not give you the option to cut certain parts of the song?

Anywhere you put a split in a song, it will give you the chance to treat each clip you've created separately. So if you put a split at the end of the intro and just highlighted that, a right-click would give you the opportunity just to apply Remix to that clip. And it's the same for the rest of the song - the other clip could now be altered without affecting the introduction.
