I have a problem with an audio file of a speaking presentation which is very distorted, I can't recorder again.
I would like to know if possible to eliminate/reduce the distortion
Thanks

I'm sorry, but it is simply not possible to either eliminate or reduce distortion. The reason for this is very simple - there is absolutely no reference point as to what the undistorted signal would be. If there was, of course, then you wouldn't have the problem in the first place... Distortion comes in many different disguises, but the one thing they all have in common is that they can't be fixed - at all.

Thanks Steve for the reply,
I have tried several attempts and the only one with good minimum results is parametric equalization, but not a great result.
I am attaching the image for your opinion.
Any advice for next time is welcome
Thanks again.

I tried your settings but as expected, they made no difference. All EQ will do is reduce the level of whatever band you select - but it will also reduce the level of the sound you are trying to hear - so the net result is that it's just as distorted, and you can hear less of the original material.
What you have to do is turn down the gain on the preamp - that much is pretty obvious. But without knowing exactly what your setup is, I can't comment further.
