I keep getting random errors saying "The File is Already in use by another application and cannot be overwritten." If I drop 6 files into the file bin, and work on each one individually (not in multitrack), I keep getting 1 that has this error. I have no reason why. Any ideas?

For a start, we don't know if this is on a Mac or a PC, but the thing to try, in order to establish what's going on, is to not put it in the files bin whilst having a load of other files in there, but to select it using File>Open. Then make a modification (add a bit of silence, or something), and then try two things: firstly a straightforward Save, and then a Save As. This way we might be able to establish whether there is something odd about this file, or whether it's a system error. Please report back!

I am on a PC using Windows 10.
I used the File > Open to bring the audio file in. Made some changes, then was able to save. I then removed it, dragged into the File Bin, and made changes, and was able to save as well.
But that file yesterday said it was in use in another application (nothing else was open, and no multitrack was even created yet. It was the second file I worked on).
Yesterday when it wouldn't save, I could use Save As and create a new file.

I had another file do the same thing today, and that is on the new version of Audition. Any ideas why this happens?
