Unwanted delay in Audition playback

In Audition, I have been recording narration for a year. I have changed no settings and now when I record, the playback has a delay that I can't get rid of... Any thoughts?

Are you in Multitrack? Are you talking about a monitoring delay? If you are, then have a look at Edit>Preferences>Multitrack and make sure that the 'Enable Smart Monitoring' button hasn't got a check in it...

If you aren't in Multitrack you are going to have to explain more accurately what is going on, and exactly when this delay is occuring.
