Hello,
I have a single audio file in mono with highly variying volumes (often in just a few seconds). The reason is the speaker turned away from the mic on many occasions, leaving an unbalanced sound.
Can I fix it? And if yes, HOW???
Maybe this topic already came up in one or another posts, but silly me cannot find it. Maybe I didn't search with the right keywords. So please help me! I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!!
J

There's an tool under Effects>Amplitude and Compression called Speech Volume Leveler. You may have to experiment with the settings a bit, but it's certainly capable of doing what you want - with one slight caveat. It may well be able to fix the levels satisfactorily, but it cannot compensate for the inevitable quality change as your undisciplined speaker turned away - I don't think that anything will compensate for that, I'm afraid.
