VST3 and VST Plugins aren't showing up after computer upgrade. M1 iMac

I upgraded my iMac from a 2012 base model to a new M1 iMac.  I reinstalled Audition and now most of my 3rd party VST and VST3 plugins won't show up.  I have checked and re-checked all the pathways and still can't seem to resolve the issue.  Also, my VST3 are now showing as AU...and not working properly.

The VST3 plug-ins are installed on my new iMac, but they will NOT register in the plug-in scan as VST3 on Adobe Audition.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Chances are that these are 32-bit plugins you're trying to reuse. On their own, they won't work with the latest version of Audition, which is 64-bit, and natively only uses 64-bit plugins. You'll either need Bridge software, or update your old ones to 64-bit versions, I'm afraid.

But the plug ins work on my other iMac which has the same version of Audition and exact same plugins.

I'm wondering if this is a BigSur issue.

The plug ins are 64 bit.  This is either a Big Sur issue or an M1 processor issue I think.  Noone else has had these problems?

Most of the plugins are izotope rx8 standard.  But TDR NOVA as well.

Izotope RX 8 does not support M1 macs unless you run Adobe in Rosetta mode. Here's the support response I got from Izotope on the issue (prior to the release of RX 9):

"According to your system information, it appears that you are using a Mac with the new M1 Chip. I do have to let you know that our products are not yet supported with the new M1 Chips. This is why it's not appearing within Adobe Audition.

With that being said, you can try opening Audition within 'Rosetta Mode' and see if that helps.

- Open the Finder and go to your Applications folder.
- Right-Click on the Audition icon.
- Click on “Get Info”
- Tick “Open using Rosetta”
- Restart Audition.
