What format is best to export 5.1 surround file on Adobe Audition ?

I would like to export a 5.1 surround file I created on Adobe Audition, I wonder how to export it? which format is best, I will be playing the file later on a Raspberry Pi 3 which is connected by HDMI cable to a 6 channel amplifier, tnx

You should really ask this on a Raspberry Pi forum, but as far as I'm aware they can cope with Multichannel wav files, and that's definitely the best format, as it's uncompressed.
