As far as Premiere and Audition are concerned, you have to remember that they are integrated already - that's the purpose of the 'Edit in Audition' option in Premiere. This effectively automates the round trip, so you can process tracks in Audition and have them automatically sent back to Premiere when you're done. Using this option automatically sets Audition up correctly, and bypasses any need for using any transfer protocol at all.
As far as the AAF thing is concerned, you might want to read this thread. Especially the part of it written by SuiteSpot, who has a solution to the problem.

Hi, SteveG. Thanks for the answer.
The last five years I've been working in a Sound Studio with AVID Protools and we always had an OMF or AAF from the Video Editors, so my goal was to replicate this workflow, in a way the students learn how to create the AAF and the Video Reference (with TC baked in), for Sound post.
In the end, and seeing that the plugins are the same in Premiere, we just went with audio editing/mixing inside Premiere, so it was easier for the students. I decided that speacially after a few OMF exports did not properly translate the files into Audition (like a song track that covered the whole video in Premiere, and then just half the video on Audition).
It's really frustating that Audition does not have an official User Manual, the Adobe Website is pretty outdated (some of the images are from really old versions of Audition).
I will try to convince the school to get AVID Protools, so they can learn a proper DAW with real use in the profesional world, so I don't need to search in Youtube or in this forums to get decent answers.
I mean, Audition is not capable of importing an AAF in 2024? Come on!
Thanks,
Dani.
