One of the things I'm not a big fan of, is currently, Audacity appears to default to Wav, 48k, 24bit when trying to save a new audio file.
A suggested improvement would be for some 'Save As Presets' which we can create of our own.
So, when saving an audio file using 'Save As', in that popup window there could be an extra drop-down menu with various options, perhaps with some common defaults (320kbps Mp3 and Wav) but also the ability to save your own regularly used ones.
I've made a little mock-up (please don't be astounded by my design ability!) lol.
