In the tutorial about noise reduction, one step is out of order or missing.

“Capture Noise Print” step is missing. You need to press the Capture Noise Print button .  That needs to happen after “Find a Noise Print” and “Open Noise Reduction” steps

The steps as current outline will give you an error.

Sorry to hear that and thanks for flagging it up.

Would you please say where this tutorial was? a link to it?

Best regards, Euan.

I'm assuming that it's the built-in tutorial links one. And actually, there's nothing wrong with it. There is more than one order in which you can capture a noise print - as long as you've made the selection first, you can open the NR - as long as you've made a viable selection. So yes, you can open the NR and then hit the 'capture noise print' button. Not only that, but you can even change the selection without going through the whole 'capture it first' process again. The step isn't missing - it just comes one stage later than you realised. This is made pretty clear, I think.

The step is out of order, which would be confusing for a first time user.

I'd agree to some extent.

It's not so much wrong as a bit misleading.

The first time you follow the tut, the screen looks different to the image in the tutorial.

Effect_-_Noise_Reduction_and_Adobe_Audition.jpg

We see the image to the left, not the one showing a noise waveform.

The warning triangle in my red box also leads you to believe something wrong has happened.

So, I agree, I think it could be clearer.

I've posted this in the apprpriate place: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911314-audition

Best regards, Euan.
