Batch Rename is not working in Bridge 2026

Since upgrading to the latest Bridge, Batch rename is not working for me. Beyond the Finder/Dock issue, which has been reported, what else is broken.

Nevermind. The issue was with permission and the new app. Phew.

Sorry what do you mean by "The issue was with permission and the new app" ?

How did you solve this? I'm currently having this issue and it's a huge problem for me. Thank you!!

After the recent upgrade, I had to re-allow Bridge to make changes to the external device where the files were located. On a Mac, FWIW.

I see, but how did you "reallow Bridge" to do this? did you get a pop up note asking you to allow it?

Thank you

In System Settings> Privacy & Security> Adobe Bridge 2026. Make sure to toggle on all that you want Bridge to access and make changes to.

One other thing to check is that the folder that you want to make changes in has "read and write" permissions to allow you to do so. (Commnad-I) That was another thing I checked.

It worked!

I'm not sure what it was though, as everything was toggled already and also I had all permissions already (read and write).

Either way, I will come back to this thread should it happen again.

Thanks so much!
