Adobe Bridge Blue Thumbnails macOS for H265/HEVC Footage

Community Beginner ,
Jan 30, 2025 Jan 30, 2025

Has anyone found a solution to the blue thumbnail glitch on Adobe Bridge on macOS? Thumbnails on ProRes HQ footage look normal, but any H265/HEVC footage has a blue tint. I know Windows has a solution by installing HEVC extensions, but I can't find any for macOS. I am on the latest macOS Sequoia and Adobe Bridge versions.

I have the same problem with blue thumbnails for video in Adobe Bridge. It's 3/1/25 and I'm using the latest Bridge, the latest Photoshop, running Sequoia 15.3.1 on a Mac Mini M4 Pro. The actual video will play in correct color, but the thumbnails are all blue tinted. I've re-installed Bridge a couple of times to no avail. I'll attach a screenshot showing the thumbnail of a RAW (NEF) file in true color, the blue thumbnail of a video made of the exact same scene, and a paused Quicktime window showing that blue-thumbnailed video playing with correct color.

Following on my comment above, here's a screen capture video of those blue thumbnails in action: https://spaces.hightail.com/receive/4zBUGqrqCF

I'm still having this issue with HVEC/H265 files on an M4 Max and M3 Ultra with the latest macOS Sonoma and Adobe Bridge updates. I've been emailing with Adobe support for months now, and still no resolution whatsoever.

They keep asking for more screenshots and videos. Then they just closed my case for no reason, stating that I didn't respond, even though I provided more details as requested without a response from them. They are not trying to solve this issue.

I have the same problem. Bridge 15.0.3.525, Sequoia 15.4.1 on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra. Videos play fine, but thumbnails are blue as in attached screenshot. Videos were shot on iPhone 12.

We're seeing this too, in our case with S-log3 footage from FX3.
