Hi All,
I am trying to be short.
I use an online image cataloging software, which reads keywords from the images uploaded to it, and then displays the keywords. I am Hungarian, so I use Hungarian characters, like ő or ö for example. These accented characters get somehow incorrectly encoded after running through my Adobe workflow.
I start with a raw file. I type the keyword "Enteriör" into the keyword field, then export the raw file (through Image Processor) into a .jpg, which I upload to my system. The keyword will look like this: Enteriör
If I first export the raw file into a .jpg, then enter the same keyword, the uploaded keyword will display correctly: Enteriör
Where could this go wrong?
I have a couple of colleagues, two of us are expereiencing this problem, for the rest of us everything works fine.
I have not found anything on the whole internet about how the characters of the different IPTC fields are encoded. The problem seems to only affect the keyword field, as the same word written in the Headline field for example, is always dispalyed correctly.
Thank you in advancce, if anyone has a take on this.
Gábor
