I have been using bridge for months with no issues. Now, when I open it the preview function has quit working. If I try to use any of the View options like full screen, slide show, review mode, etc. the program freezes. I must then use the task manager to close the program.
I have tried reinstalling, and the troubleshooting procedures all the way to step 11.

The editing functions still work if I don't try to use any of the View options.

Problem solved. I rebooted my computer and now everything is working. I followed steps 1-11 in the troubleshooting list provided by Adobe, but I never rebooted. That seemed to do the trick for now.
