Adobe Photo Downloader unable to read files from memory card on my Mac.
Recognises the card but just gives the following; "This device does not contain any supported media"
I'm using a Mac OS Monterey 12.6 and Nikon D850 camera. XQD memory card and reader connected via USB. All was fine until I updated Photoshop to v24.0 and Bridge to v15.0.
Have reset preferences and purged caches as suggested in other posts but to no avail. Help!

I'm the same. I've been using Bridge Photo Downloader for ages and then for some reason it asked for permission to access my remote folder (never done that before). I accidentally hit "refuse" and since then all I see is that no matter what card for whichever camera I try to download from, I keep getting "devie does not conatin any supported files". I have tried all options on Abode Forum to rectify but to no avail. Thinking I'll forget using Bridge entirely.

You have to give it permission to access the card. System Settings->Security and Privacy section.

Thanks for your reply. However, I've done the settingsystem>Privacy section as per other posts on this community forum but to avail. Adobe Bridge is checked and displays where it should in the disc access window. It also shows in the Files and Folders but I am unable to select it there.

Hi, @Trevor38286287muof, you might try checking this option in Settings. However, I'm not completely sure that this will also reset warnings in Photo Downloader. PD is a plugin to Bridge, and I do not know how much of one covers the other.
Please give this a try and we'll see. What I'm trying to do is to bring up the warning you cancelled before so you can try again.
Oh wait, one other option, please reset your Bridge's Prefs in addtion to the above. Here's how:
Quit Bridge (if running). Just before clicking on Bridge in the Dock or double-clicking the application for the Mac, press Command-Option-Shift. For PCs, press Control-Alt-Shift. Then open Bridge BUT KEEP your fingers on those keys until you see a window pop up. From the window, choose “Reset Preferences," "Entire Thumbnail Cache,” and/or "Reset Standard Workspaces.” In your case, choose "Reset Preferences."
