Batch Convert Images to PDF and retain the filename or retain the filename in the meta data.

In Bridge, when doing an export of image to image this is possible. It will just save the new image and overwrite the old file name.

However, I need to take a number of images and convert them to PDF but also include a footer/headers and retain the original filename for the PDF, if possible, or at least in the metadata so that I can easily match up the original image file with the converted PDF.

Is there a way to accomplish any of this in Bridge?

You can use the output module but it doesn't have full support for metadata. Have you looked at Acrobat Pro?

I have Acrobat Pro and can do this one by one but I am trying to find a batch process to save time. Is there a way to do this as a batch process in Pro and get the margins? It is a considerable number of photos opening each and converting one by one would be overly tedious.

The output module would work if it would keep the original filename but I have not figured out how to do that. Is there a way?

The output module is limited in options and doesn't copy over metadata as its designed for multiple images.

Why are you converting individual images to pdf? This really makes no sense.

Need to add bates stamps, so I need to convert them so that there is space to add it. If you have another suggestion that I am missing, I am all ears.

Acrobat Pro does offer some limited automation.

Sounds like a task for a Photoshop batch action or script.

Can you provide before and after samples?
