Bridge 11.1 not launching through the start menu or the Creative Cloud desktop app on Windows 10

New Here ,

Updated to 11.1, but Bridge in Windows will not open from the Start Menu or from Creative Cloud. It will run when invoked in PS CC, but the thumbnails won't show for some folders. Anyone having similar problems?

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble while trying to launch Bridge. Have you tried launching Bridge as administrator to check if you're able to launch the app? If not, please try that to check if that helps. Also, please ensure that you have all available Windows updates installed on the computer.

If the issue persists, try resetting the Preferences of Bridge using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html#main_Troubleshooting_steps

Let us know if it helps!

Regards,

Nikunj

To launch Bridge that way you need to R-click the bridge icon which will open up a dialog box and select "run as adminstrator"

If that suggestion or the reset preferences suggestion does not work, uninstall Bridge, reboot your machine, and  reinstall Bridge.

Windows registry is buggered up.
