Hi community

Mac Pro end 2013, OS Catalina, Adobe Bridge 11.1

Bridge worked well until a few days ago. App shows up, but pop up window says:

"The process could not be finalized. Unknown system errror" (translated from German)."

Bridge has to be force closed. Restarting Bridge or Mac does not help any.

Other Adobe cc apps work well.

Thank you in advance for help.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble while trying to launch Bridge 11.1. You can try resetting the Preferences of Bridge to check if that helps. You can check out the steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html

If the issue persists, you can try re-installing the application after removing it using the Creative Cloud cleaner tool. You can check the steps to use the Creative Cloud cleaner tool here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Let us know if it helps!

Regards,

Nikunj

Hi Nikunj,

thank you for quick response.

Resetting preferences did not work. cmd + opt + shift at starting bridge led to the same result and same message.

Reinstalling the app in the normal way worked. I did not use the cleaner tool. For a "normal" user this seems a bit too advanced - especially as there are so many warnings issued by Adobe to use this tool in the very correct way. Anyway, I deinstalled, including all the preferences deinstalled. Reinstalled Bridge and now it seems like it workes even better, ie. a tad faster.

Regards and thanks again
