When I add files to the layout in the Output module the preview of vertical images is stretched horizontally, although the images are saved in the pdf with the correct proportions.
Beyond that, all the Output previews in Bridge 2020 look pixelated.
Does anyone else have the same problems?

Images that are pixelated is a extra feature provided by Bridge.
It has been there for yeras. Consatnt complaint. Doubt they know how to fix it.
Check to see if "fit to template is selected.

I'm having the same issue. I dont remember Bridge doing this in later version. I was surprised to see the export came out in the proper aspect ratio. I guess Adobe has dropped the ball on this. Had go through trial and error exports to get my margins looking right.

I don't get this problem on Windows, have not tested on Mac.

Anyone find a fix for this in the end?

I've also been experiencing these issues recently on both Mac and PC. Some images end up stretched even when they are from the same source and in the same format. Any solutions yet?

I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I didn't try to save as PDF, because I assumed the distortion would show there as well. What a good thing, it doesn't. Of course it would better, if Adobe would fix it.

I'm experiencing the same issue on Mac. Some horizontal images are fine, some work after rotating them clockwise and then back counterclockwise, and others are stuck in the incorrect squished vertical aspect no matter what I do.
