On Bridge when reviewing my images, the Camera Data (Exif) Exposure Mode is showing as AUTO but I set my camera on M (manual) Why?

What shows if you use the camera manufacturers software? Data like this is proprietary and I'm not surprised that it might not be correct.

Actually it wasn't anything with Photoshop, Canon has a setting, AEB, which when on will registar on Photoshop in the Exif as the camera exposure being set on Automatic...  Canon helped me turn it off.
