Updating Bridge from 2015 > 2017 without updating all other CC software evenly causes Photoshop/Illustrator automation menus ("Tools > Photoshop/Illustrator") to disappear. While this has been documented in other threads (referenced below), the proposed solution is not viable because a number of plugins required in my workflow have not been updated for CC2017 and thus I cannot update to all CC2017 apps across the board (that includes PS for now).
It is my hope that the links can be re-established manually. Anyone know it it's possible to take profiles or scripts from CC2015 and copy them over CC2017 files?
The concept of Creative Cloud only supporting menus from other apps of the same series revision is not just silly...it's foolhardy and goes against the fundamental concept of CC -- which was to lessen app versioning and compatibility problems...
Thanks at least for the ability to rollback!

Sahil, sorry I've just now seen your message...I did get it sorted by upgrading both evenly once the aforemention issue had been worked out.

I understood that your other Adobe applications are not upgraded to 2017. You may install and use Bridge 2015 so this way Bridge can communicate with the rest of your cloud applications.
You may follow below steps to access older Bridge version.

Yesterday I was faced with the missing 'Tools -> Photoshop' startup scripts problem when using Bridge CC 2017 on my desktop computer. While searching for the cause and a solution I discovered that if I opened Photoshop CC2017 first and then opened Bridge from within Photoshop (Alt+Ctrl+O) the 'Tools -> Photoshop' then appeared and worked fine. The Tools are missing when I open Bridge CC 2017 before opening Photoshop. If I open Photoshop after opening Bridge the Tools remain absent. This workaround will probably work with Illustrator as well, though this has not been confirmed.
I also have CC 2017 installed on my laptop where the problem does NOT occur and Bridge behaves as it did with previous versions of the Creative Suite.
Both computers are using Windows 10 (64-bit).
