New Here ,
Sep 01, 2018 Sep 01, 2018

There is a problem in Adobe Bridge CC 2018 I can´t fix.

The output-module to create overview pdf´s shows always wrong colors in preview and in ready pdf. what should I do?

I mostly use jpg´s with embedded sRGB Profils for these action.

I never had these problems wit adobe bridge CS5.1.

best,

Paul

This has been reported to Adobe as a bug. Not sure if they have been able to reproduce it or not.

Even of the PDF in Bridge as well, metadata also

Are you looking in the internal screen?

I have a similar problem. Since the latest update of Bridge 2018 any pdf proofs that I make through the Output module do not reflect any changes that I've made to my RAW files. I've used this workflow for many years without a problem but now have to go back to Bridge 2017 on my laptop to make pdf proofs. Before this update the Output module used to be something you had to download and install yourself, now it comes as a pre-installed part of Bridge. I'm wondering if that's where the problem might lie.

Any news on this? I note that my pdf, output by bridge, and then viewed in bridge, has no color profile showing in the metadata.

That's how the pdfs are written. No idea what they are going to do with it.

I'm really frustrated by this too!!

This strated happening when I updated my software, it used to be fine. The colours look terrible in PDF format and I definitely cant send them to a client like this.

I've been 'chatting' with an adobe support person for over hour and a half and all they can say is to post the problem here and that there will be a resolution within 24-48 hours.

Considering this original post hasn't been resolved and was written in Sepetember 2018.

The only fix is to use an older version of Bridge. Adobe is aware and it should be fixed in a future release.

Came here because one of my clients ran into this issue today after getting a new mac and updating.

i've verified the files and yes, indeed the colors are off. The images are defined as sRGB in the PDF same as the input files yet they are darker and more saturated than the originals when edited out from the PDF in Acrobat and compared in Photoshop.

I can't however, reproduce the problem on my own PC - here the images extracted from the PDF is identical to the originals. Same thing with both 2018 and 2019 latest versions.

So either the PDF engine assumes a wrong profile before placing in the PDF but tags it correctly afterwards, or its a deeper problem with the engine itself.

Can anyone else chime in on mac/pc discrepancies regarding this issue ?

Anyway its a very serious problem as loads of photographers (most of clients actually) uses this method when sending contact sheets and selects to their customers.

It wouldnt be the first time Adobe royally f***s up basic color management, lets not forget the dual monitor profile mess with bridge ...

Again BASIC. COLOR: MANAGEMENT - if color management doesnt work, NOTHING works ...
