I'm using Bridge CC, and it's operating like cold molasses. Not only am I having issues with moving from folder to folder, once I am in a folder, it takes forever for the program to preview the file I clicked on.
My files are saved and edited locally, and I'm having the program browse local folders. I need to be connected to the network, but I'm not saving anything to it. Is there a way I can command Bridge as to what folders it should be looking at, to see if limiting its scope helps it run faster?

Hi alpinemice,
Can you try upgrading to Bridge CC 2017 and check. You will not need to un-install Bridge CC.
We have released a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2017) on 02 Nov 2016. The new version build number is 7.0.0.93. This version is available to install via Adobe Creative Cloud application.
Please try the new version and check for issues you have encountered.
You may need to update the Creative Cloud application and restart your computer to see the updated installer.
Thanks,
Deepak Gupta

Oh, sorry... with the CS numbers having been discontinued, I was not sure how to identify versions (or if it was necessary).
I am experiencing these issues with Bridge CC 2017.

Hi Matthew,
Please Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
Try to follow your normal workflow and let us know if the issue persists.
Regards,
Gautam

Tried resetting all three... even right after the reset, Bridge still operates slowly, and goes non-responsive.
