Bridge CC2019 text animation previews not working?

For some reason installing the new Bridge CC 2019 (and After Effects CC 2019) seemed to have done something to text animation previews in Bridge.

I just want to browse through the text animations to find one that works for my project. But when I now select an individual animation just a still thumbnail comes up as a preview with no controls to play etc.  There is no animation in the preview - just a still image.

Am I just being really thick? Or do I have to change a setting somewhere?

Hi Jimr,

Sorry to hear about the text animation previews not playing automatically in the new Bridge.

Could you please let us know what operating system you're working on?

Could you please try the steps mentioned here and let us know if it helps? Preview not displaying in the Preview panel in Adobe Bridge

Regards,
Sahil

I have the same problem. I'm Running High Sierra 10.13.6 with the latest After Effects (16.0) an the latest Bridge (9.0.1) The steps mentioned above do work but if I want to use Bridge in conjunction with latest After Effects, I have to use latest version of Bridge because earlier version is not compatible.

There is good news! If you are able to update to the Adobe 2020 softwares, Bridge does work correctly again. It only took 2 years, but Bridge 2020 displays previews including ".ffx", such as the text presets for After Effects.

(All the discussion about relunching, reinstalling, etc. did NOT work. Bridge 2019 was a dud during its entire lifetime.)

Hi, same problem here. Is there a better solution than reinstal an After Effects earlier version? Please 🙏🙏🙏
