Bridge is crashing upon startup

Apparently this is an old issue as well, but Bridge was working perfectly fine before my system security updates to my mac yesterday. I'm running Monterey 12.6.5. Now today I can't open Bridge without it crashing and the only thing it says is ERROR.  Any ideas what may be happening?

Hi @razzle7564 ,

Thanks for reaching out. Let's try to sort this out.

Would you mind sharing your workflow? Are you seeing this issue after the application update? Did you try re-installing the application? If you are not done yet, please try.

Also, reset bridge preferences:

  • Start Adobe Bridge and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears.
  • Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and click OK.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps, have a look: https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html#:~:text=Adobe%20Bridge%20c...

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Hi Ranjisha,

I ended up downloading Ventura and updating my iMac. That worked. I had updated the Bridge when the update came out, but it wasn't until I did the recent ios security update that this error message came up. Once I downloaded Ventura, it seemed to fix the issue, ALTHOUGH, it did just crash again and for no reason. It also tends to close the app completely on its own if I minimize the window and stop working in it for a few minutes. There's usually no warning on that, so I reopen and continue working. I'm not sure why it just crashed a couple minutes ago, but I usually share the info.

Thanks,

Becky

Hi @razzle7564
Are you getting Adobe crash reporter Dialog when the app is closing by itself?
If yes, Please submit the crash report using the Adobe crash reported. (Please make sure the email id is same as used here)

Thanks,
Bridge Team
