Bridge Keywords Disappearing

Hi,
This is a general post regarding the disappearing of Keyword in Bridge. In my case, only some keywords disappeared but not all of them. I have no idea why this is happening. It happened to me also in previous versions (I'm now on 2020) and I learned how to recover the file from Time machin on my Mac. I read all over the community that this is happening to many users so I'm not the only one.
Today it happned again. But I don't know why. After I recovered the XML file I tried to redo all the steps I did before it disappear in order to reproduce the problem without sucsses.
I just don't understand why it's happening but this is the 2nd time in the past two months that it happened and it's really bothering me. Of course there is the simple solution of getting the file from the backup, but I still think there is some kind of bug that should be investigate.

I obviously do not have a library under my user name!
I have been an Adobe CC member for more than 10 years and Adobe CC has installed where it chose to!
So, thanks for no help after all of this.

You do but its hidden by default. That's the one you have to open.

Lumigraphics,
Fabulous! Thanks for showing me! Ok. And now that I'm there... and I can see all those other files and folders along with my xml file....?
I really do appreciate learning to find my library. I had been using system library.

Or just supply a download link to your .xml file as previously requested.

Why or how would your seeing or having my xml file help me? And where or how would I supply a download link? Do you expect me to put it on dropbox for everyone in the world to have access to it? or to my computer?

I had given up on you finding your user folder, so I had no expectation that you would be able to compare the XML file with missing content in your user library vs. the XML file that you have elsewhere that contains all content.
In a different topic thread, I posted a link with detailed instructions on how as a last resort, a non-functional XML file can be stripped of the xml tags to create a plain text file that is suitable for import via the keyword panel GUI. You replied that you were not a computer genius. As this was apparently beyond your ability, I was going to offer help in creating an importable version for you.
The forum has a private message feature where you can share the download link such as DropBox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud Files, or one of many other services if you don't wish to make the file public.

Hello Stephen,
I didn't know the forum has a private message feature or where people could download their files. I have not used the forum very often. I am very glad and thankful that Lumigraphics was plain-spoken enough to tell me that I did have a user library and that it was hidden and provided a link so I could find it. Many thanks to Lumigraphics. Since I have an Excel file of all of my keywords I will just use it and move on to Bridge 2020 or 2022 and hopefully never have this problem again. Thanks for your help.

For the record, 4 days before Lumigraphics posted the link to the article, I advised you to use the Option key to make the folder visible in the Go menu, and also that you could use the Go to Folder menu item as well, which is one option found in that linked article. I also supplied a screenshot with the menu items circled in red.
I doubt that you will have any different results in other versions of Bridge, however, I hope you do. If not, you now know where to place the correct file if you have a backup XML file that contains all keywords. Once you do have the correct XML file installed, I would also advise that you use the keyword panel menu to export/save the keywords to a plain text file for easy importing so that you don't have to use the XML file option.

Hi Stephen,
I don't understand about going from one thread to another thread... I posted that I wasn't a computer expert and you had some really confusing pictures that seemed like something a coder would understand, but I have no idea where that was -- or is -- or any way to find it again. I can't find anything about option key or go to folder menu item. (I still can't find that now. I can only read my latest posts). All I know is that this forum started with a person named Shlomit Heymann. Anyway... I meant no disrespect. I might have thought you were replying to someone else and not me. In any event I opened Bridge 2020, haven't had a chance to spend any time with it yet, but will see how it works going forward. Thanks again.

Resetting preferences often fixes flaky behaviour and is one of the first trouble-shooting steps to try.

A screenshot of the xml file open in a text editor, or even better a link to the actual xml file as previously requested would be helpful.
