Hi!
I use Adobe Bridge for adding metadata and renaming the images in my gallery after I've exported them from Lightroom and optimized them in JPEG Mini. Very often, but not always, the images are in an entirely different order after doing so.
How does this happen and what can I do to prevent it?
Thanks!

Hi,
I am not sure if my suggestion will be applicable to the aftermath of using Lightroom or other programs, but so long we're talking about merely the “batch renaming” per se, then I have a suggestion for you that I have stumbled upon after swiftly navigating and being more meticulous prior to reusing the feature again.
You see, there is a “preview” option, where Bridge juxtaposes and contrasts your current files' names against the newly "to be renamed" ones; however, if the files original names are tool long, they might not be fully viewable, in that case, there is a provided option, where you can export the "previewiable data" as a CSV file, view it in Excel, then confirm or edit as desired.
I am attaching a screen recording for ease and facilitation.

Bridge renames in the input sort order (even custom order), which is important to know when adding sequential numbers.
The output will be sorted by the order generated by the new names.
Without before and after examples, it is hard to comment further.
