Adobe used to test their updates with real users before release... Apparently this is not being done now... Is there some reason this is not being done anymore? Any user on a PC would have spotted this issue very quickly... So now you have hundreds of thousands of users who don't have this basic functionality because Adobe couldn't be bothered to test appropriately before release...

How does this solve my problem? All that does is open me up to new issues that are not working correctly in the current pre-release... Adobe needs to make sure that basic functionality is working before they release a version... that is what they used to do... BASIC FUNTIONALITY SHOULDN'T GO AWAY BETWEEN VERSIONS THAT SHOULD ALWAYS BE WORKING CORRECTLY... IF YOU CAN'T HAVE CONSISTENT BASIC FUNCTIONALITY, THEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING WORKING ON OTHER MORE ADVANCED FEATURES IF THE BASIC STUFF ISN'T WORKING CORRECTLY!! THIS IS JUST BASIC COMMON SENSE...

You asked why real users don't test the updates. That's what the pre-release is. A place for real users to test the updates. You can participate if you'd like.
