Bridge rendering slowly and only after I click on an image.

Windows 10 on a very souped up custom built for photoshop computer. I use a Canon R5.

I used to be able to open Bridge, choose my card reader's DCIM folder and Bridge would begin rendering all the files immediately. It was wonderful because after a few seconds I could start looking through the images and rating them quickly.  Now it only renders each file as I click on it and I have to wait for each one.

I have selected:

Preview size: embedded (fastest)

preview quality: standard

preview generation: always generate

I have not selected: always generate 100% preview

Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?

Hi @MaryJoAllen ,

Thank you for your feedback.

We are unable to reproduce the issue on our end.

Could you please provide the following details to help us investigate further?

  • Bridge version
  • System configuration
  • Is the issue specific to particular files or formats?

Also are you browsing to the Card Reader through Bridge?
If yes, Can you try copying file to local drive and confirm if issue is reproducible while accessing files in local drive also ?
Please also share a screen recording of the issue if possible.
Please share the sample file/files on which you are observing the issue at sharewithbr@adobe.com and mention this thread. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Bridge Team
