Updated to Bridge v9.0.0.204 X64. In Bridge Filmstrip the Content section is now a horizontal strip on the bottom of the monitor screen. Before this update I had the Content section running down the right hand side of the monitor screen in a vertical position. This allowed the Preview or selected image to appear very large in the middle of the monitor screen. Adobe phone support person claims this arrangement option has been removed by whomever came up with this new version. In Bridge v9.0, in the Filmstrip selection, how do I change the position of the Content from horizontal and bottom of screen to vertical and right side of screen?
Lets see if i can explain it better:
1. Move the Content tab next to the Preview tab
2. Move the Preview to where the Content tab was
3. Grab the left edge of the content panel to resize to a single column by dragging right.
4. You should end up with this

Thank you. The choices I was presented with included Creative Cloud or Photoshop but not Bridge.

Does the Preview workspace look like what you had?

Hi leeplugin
There is no change in the standard workspaces between version CC 2018 and CC 2019.
You can close\drag\move panels in a workspace based on your preference in CC 2019 as well.
While installing CC 2019, if you select the option to migrate preferences, then custom workspaces saved in CC 2018 will be migrated to CC 2019
Regards,
Abhishek Seth.

You need to save the workspace you want first in 2018
and you will have to reinstall Bridge 2019 to get it to migrate the new workspace over.

Adobe tech phone support said the interface doesn't permit Content being vertical. What Jeff Arola posted seems to dismiss that technical advice. Dragging the Content panel to the top right results in placing the panel on top in a horizontal position. The option to migrate preferences was selected before proceeding with the update. That failed. I know from past experience with adobe to save all downloads of all third party apps and plug ins for photo shop in a separate folder on my computer and external drive because adobe technicians want to delete those every chance they get. Adobe only succeeded in deleting about half of them this time.
Is there a certain trick to dragging the Content panel into the vertical right hand side position? Is there something in the drag down menu, to the right of the word Keywords, that needs to be clicked on first? Is there a certain place on the Content panel which the cursor needs to be place on when clicking?

Not true.
Dragging content window to right or left panel well will allow content to scroll vertical.

It is true.
I dragged the Content panel to the right and the Content panel placed itself on top and in the horizontal position. Have tried numerous times.
It is the reason why I posted here to seek help.
Also, some 2018 preferences migrated to the 2019 version and some, included this glitch, did not. I may call adobe tech support again and I might get a different technician. Remember, the first adobe technician I spoke with said the new interface does not permit the Content panel to be placed in the vertical position. I wish I had made a recording of that phone call for you to listen to.
If all else fails in troubleshooting this adobe update fail my guesses are: 1. Uninstall the update, reinstall. 2. Uninstall and wait for a different update (do you know if it's an annual thing with adobe?).
I notice elsewhere on this support web there are various other problems with the update. Perhaps the bugs will be changed in the next update?

Like this?
Just switch the Preview and Content panels, then set the Content to Vertical and adjust the size to taste.

Content panel placed over Preview panel and then the Vertical Layout option is clicked on resulting with a blue square and a black check symbol. This is the result. There's another step I'm missing?

Third phone tech support figured it out. The missing step is to find a nearly invisible line on the right side of the screen. Pull it in to the left and it creates a blank space. Drag and drop the Content panel into that space, click vertical. Whew!

Yes, except the Content was on the right.
