Bridge won't display thumbnails nor previews of jpeg files.

My idpad's screenshots save as jpegs, and so do images that I save from Smartist. They open in Photoshop but Bridge will not display them, nor show them in the Preview panel so I have open them in Photoshop to see what they are.

Jpg and Jpeg file types are both associated with Photoshop in Bridge.

I can preview them perfectly in Windows File Manager but it's Bridge I want to view them in. Altering the file extension to jpg does not help.

Also, is there a way to rename individual files in Bridge? I've only found Batch Rename which I don't want.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

Could you share the following information with us so that we can better understand this issue?
1. Bridge version and details of the OS with which you are facing this issue.

2. Could you share some sample files at sharewithbr@adobe.com

To answer your other question, you can rename a file using the right-click menu -> rename or by single click on the file name.

Please reach out for any further information.

Regards,

Bridge Team

Thanks for replying. The only rename option when right-clicking is to batch rename and it's very clunky just to rename one file. You can see what I have in my context menu attached.

I've attached a file that shows in Explorer  but not Bridge and a screenshot of what it looks like in Bridge.

If these are large files you might try this:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge-discussions/bridge/m-p/14204771#M47307

To rename a single file, simply left click on the file name in the Content Panel. The filename will be highlighted and may then be edited.

They are small files, but even so, changing the Bridge settings did not help.

What they all have in common is that they were created on my iPad and shared to Dropbox.

Where are these files located?

Bridge does not work properly with cloud services. Dropbox is NOT supported and may not work correctly. Many users try this, some have success, lots do not. Much has been written about this subject if you search this forum.
