Is there a way or a plug-in that will allow me to take an indexed file from Photoshop, export or assign the colors and swatches as spot colors within Illustrator. I am using the CS2 package.

I think that there is, but I am less familiar with Illustrator Scripting. You might try asking this question on the Illustrator Scripting forum. Once you have the code for Illustrator, you can use Bridge to make the workflow flow.

I am running Windows XP and have just upgraded to CS2.

When I use Bridge it will not produce thumbnails of my Raw files. I shot a test batch of raw files on my Digital Rebel XT - I have the latest camera raw plugin installed.

If I work directly through Photoshop I can open my test files directly into camera raw.

But in Bridge it will not give me a preview. All I get is a generic icon saying CR2 which is the Canon raw file format. Bridge is working for all my jpeg and tiff files.

What have I done wrong?

Hi Goudy,

Make sure the plug-in is installed in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats folder. And then try Edit>Tools>Cache>Purge>Purge Cache for This Folder.
