Brush tool unavailable after zooming in or out - Camera Raw

When working with the brush tool in Camera Raw: I make adjustments, then zoom in or out. Boom, I can't use the brush tool any more. I just get the "hand" (move tool). I have found that if I click "K" 4 times (to get out of the brush tool and back twice) the brush is finally available but now I am out of the adjustment I was working on. So now I have to find the correct pin to get back to my adjustment. This is adding SO many more steps and is so agrivating. It started a couple of months ago after an "upgrade". HELP!

Same issue here. I almost always zoom in when making local adjustments to add/subtract to the adjustment masks in Bridge, but since maybe 2 or 3 updates ago, zooming in with dynamic zoom using the right mouse button and dragging or by using spacebar+click to zoom etc. always brings me back to the Hand tool (for dragging to navigate around the image when zoomed in.

I read in a separate discussion that resetting Camera Raw helps. I tried and no dice.
