Bug - After batch renaming files all of my photos were displaced and renamed incorrectly

I recently wanted to go through my photos to batch rename them to the date each photo was taken. I used to batch rename command, but after doing so, some files were mixed up and even placed in different folders. I'm not even sure how this happened. Now my whole photo library is completely disorganized!...

Did you check the box to preserve the original filenames in metadata when renaming?

Can you you copy/paste some of the resulting filenames and post a cropped screenshot of the batch renamesettings that you would have used?
