Is there a way for Bridge in preview, to show a BW version of a color images, thanks.
No, that is well beyond the capability of Bridge (by itself).
However, if you open any image in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), you can quickly see how it would look by pressing this button. This does not change the actual image, only how it is seen. After pressing this button a second time, you are back to your original colored image with no changes to the image at all.

Hi, @larry45, are you aware that you can load both JPG and TIFF images into ACR? You can set this up in the Preferences so that it will always happen, or you can right-click on an image and select it to open in ACR.
The one caveat is that if a TIF image has any layers, it cannot open in ACR. You need to both flatten the TIF image AND then Purge the Cache for that folder from the Tools menu. (This is very similar to refreshing a web page).
GIF, PNG, and PSD images cannot be loaded into ACR.
