Often when I'm using Bridge I suddenly can't click on anything. No matter what I click on nothing happens, like it's frozen or the application has lost focus. But if I switch to another program and switch back, Bridge works normally again. I can't see any pattern that might be causing it to stop working, and it's happened with the last few versions of InDesign.

Hi jupiterkansas,
Can you please suggest that what is your Adobe Bridge version. You can get this information from "About Bridge..." screen.
Also suggest about your operating system information.
Are you using some special mouse (or pen) device?
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Deepak Gupta

Adobe Bridge 2017
MacOS Sierra 10.12.6
and I have the Apple Magic Mouse the computer came with.
I should add that although I can't click on anything in Bridge, I can still click on the menu bar at the top where it says File - Edit - View - Stacks - Label - Tools - Window - Help. All of those pull down menus work.

Two options.
Reset preferences if that does not work,
Try a un-install and re-install of Bridge

Hello,
Why are you running old versions of MacOS and Bridge?
To reset the preferences: Troubleshoot Adobe Bridge for freezes and performance issues
does it happen in all folders? or only with specific files?

I upgraded Bridge but still have the problem. We haven't upgraded MacOS at work until we know for sure there aren't any issues. Not my choice.
It happens in all folders. I've reset the preferences. We'll see if that helps.

Bug reports have been submitted for this behavior in Bridge 2018 and 2019. Hopefully the developers can get it fixed.
