Cannot append or replace metadata on larger file

I've previously had no trouble adding metadata templates to my image files, but I'm trying to add metadata to a 1.7gb file and when I go to append or replace, all my template options are greyed out. I tried making my thumbnail processing size larger, up to 3000mb based on another community post, but it's not fixing my problem. Any idea? Thanks!

Hi, @Amanda31819253sl42 what kind of file is this?

Also, in case I need the information, what is your OS (and what release), and which version of Bridge, Photoshop, and ACR are you using (and what release)

Hi Gary! This is a .tif file exported from Capture One. I'm using Bridge 2022 version 12.04.286. I have Photoshop 2023 release 24.3.0. This is the first time experiencing this problem with files exported from Capture One - so I suspect it's a size issue. I appreciate the help!

I was also thinking it might be a size issue, but a PSB (large-sized PS file, I call them Photoshop Big files) generally is not necessary until the file gets to 2 GB.

Just for "fun," try saving this file as a PSB file, let me know what that does.
