When I try to remove the requirement (on keyboard shortcut panel)for using CTRL (when changing label colors) and just use the number it does not work. When I make the change and then look at the preferences for bridge it still says the shortcut is eg. Ctrl 6, Ctrl 7 etc.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

You are correct, @dpp67. This is more complicated than it should be. I made a YouTube video explaining how to do it. I hope this helps you.

When you say, "... it does not work", have you actually tested this or are you simply going by what you see in preferences?

You may find that both 1,2,3,... etc work as well as Ctrl 1, Ctrl 2, Ctrl 3,... etc. At least that is what happens on my PC.
