Cannot copy the name of an image in Bridge.

Sometimes I need to copy the name of an completed image in Bridge to use for another image. Until recently I could just right-click on the image, select rename, highlight the words and right-click to select copy, that no longer works. When I now right-click, it deselects the highlighted words. I can highlight words and  copy in any another document e.g. this message. I have the latest version of Bridge and my Windows 11 is up to date.

Thanks Lumigraphics, but there are multiple Bridge options associated with this key but not copy? Being an OAP, I could do with more of a how to if that is possible.

Cheers

Thanks

No, that's not copy. It selects the filename for renaming.

Thanks again but it doesn't solve my problem. Yes, it selects the file name, no problem before with that, but when I highlight the text that I want to copy, and then right-click to select copy in the menu, what happens now is that it deselects the text, and no right-click menu.

Thanks again. Edit - Copy did not work. After highlighting the text and clicking Edit it deselected the text. However, the usual Control-C did copy the text and pasted ok using Control-V. I use this for my document Copy/Paste but have always used the method as per the original problem. So many thanks for your patience and help.

very annoying that the right click option to copy - paste file names in Bridge has ceased to exist.

Please re-introduce it. Much appreciated, thanks

If you left-click directly on a file's name, it will automatically be selected for renaming. In the past, you needed to click (to get its attention?) and then click again to select the name.

Then, as before, if you press the Tab key, the next file (left to right) will have its name selected and ready for a new name.

Like myself there are people who has a lot of files to prosess daily, then it is incredible annoying that they just remove this function when it is a part of your daily workflow....
