contact sheet II failing half way through

What the title says pretty much. I'm on windows, using a PC I built pretty recently. Trying to go from bridge to make a contact sheet, and everything goes smoothly until like the third page and then it just stops and the page goes transparent and shows me the photoshop startup page but with the brushes and layers still up. this has never happened to me before but like I said, new computer, new problems. Has anyone experienced this and if you do, can you help me fix it?

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

So I start in bridge, pulling from a file on my computer instead of from my camera or the cloud. It's a about 104 photos in all. The photos are raw files, which has worked for me in the past on other computers but I haven't tried using pngs or jpgs to see if that would fix the issue on this computer (havent had the time). I click on contact sheet II from bridge and and use all the default settings and the thing gets going. I see layers of my photos being created but they show up as blank until the process is done (presumably they would show up if the process were to finish) and text for the photos is being generated. About halway through the photos stop being put on layer masks and text stops being generated for them and they show up as the layer itself. This goes on for about 10 or so photos until it craps out and shows me the photoshop home page through the canvas and plays that little windows error chime whenever I try to click on it to fix anythign.

I've found if I force the contact sheet process to stop before it gets too far down the second page by just pressing esc, the one contact sheet i've generated will be perfectly fine. Which is what I ended up doing, I just selected enough photos for one page and manually stopped it when it got too far down the second page. Every once in a while, if photoshop didn't open before I clicked okay on the contact sheet II prompt, it would just show my desktop through a transparent window and I wouldn't be able to click on anything until it was done with the program.
