Content panel does not refresh when working from external drive

When I process RAW files from an external SSD drive and save them as JPEG in the same folder, Bridge does not refresh the content panel when closing ACR and therefor, the thumbnails do not appear. I have to manually press F5 for the JPEG's to appear in the content panel.

This occurs within Windows as well as in Mac OS. Has anyone the same experience?

When working from any internal drive this issue does not happen.

Unfortunately, this can happen with external drives. Both Apple and Microsoft have programming APIs to update apps on file system changes but Adobe has to actually use them.

Thank you for your answer. Then maybe Adobe needs to look into that.
