I need to add date and time photo was taken. I know this is in metadata but I need it to be on the actual image in right hand corner. My Canon 6D doesn't automatically do this. Thanks for your input.

This is possible with a Photoshop script, that you can insert into an action with a save step and then run a Batch Action or use the Image Processor or Image Processor Pro scripts to batch save, either from Bridge or Photoshop.

However, you'll need to decide on a number of things. I don't know of a script that allows you to configure these details via a GUI, so it will need to be hard-coded into the script, or perhaps an action can edit the base text created by the script. Things to consider include:

  • How the date/time format should be expressed (DDMMYYYY or YYYYMMDD etc)
  • Font, Font Size, Font Colour
  • Horizontal and Vertical Position inward from the Lower Right
