Well the title says it all. I always sort my photo's in Bridge, as it's simply the fastest, way fast than Lightroom. And as I am a professional photographer, speed is important. Let's say I add 500 photo's to Bridge and start sorting, I delete(not reject) like 380 photo's, 120 should be left for the next sorting round. If I then restart Bridge, I see I have 180 photo's, 60 deleted photo's reappeared, even after emptying the Trash bin. The more photo's I have originally and the more I delete, the more reappear after restart. If I have like 80 foto's left, 8 reappear after restart, and when I have 25 photo's left, no photo's reappear after restart.
As you understand this is a really frustrating issue and I've been trying to deal with it for months, even a Adobe Tech Support guy took over my system for 3 hours straight and couldn't fix it, he thought it had something to do with permissions on folders, who revert after changing permissions.
Any ideas? Otherwise I'm afraid I'll have to start looking for a different phorogram to use.

After you do a delete, what do you see in Windows Explorer? Are the files gone?

And where are these files located? Local drive or network volume?

Have you tried opening an Explorer window and watching to see as you delete files, what happens? I suspect this is a one-off problem on your computer.

That's not done because that would take a lot of time and effort, it's a bridge thing, not explorer, if bridge doesn't give a command to delete a photo explorer won't remove it to the bin.

You may have to spend some time troubleshooting if you want a fix. We don't know what is happening and rely on you to tell us.

Just not all files get moved to the bin, but they are gone from Bridge.

Is there someone who could look into this?
I've opened this topic almost a month ago and there hasn't been any activity since June 13th.

When they start to ask you about your system and dont offer real answers normally they dont know how to fix the problem. So...
For me, sometimes Bridge wont delete files properly. I usually open Photoshop and Rush with Bridge, all three program at the same time. After a while Bridge dont delete (or move) files, not matter the format. Every data is local, hard drive o ssd drive. When it happen just closing and reopening one (or all) of the three program lets Bridge do the task we expect.

I don't have other Adobe programs open, so that's not the problem..

I ask you to do some additional troubleshooting. Keep in mind that we are community volunteers and not Adcobe employees. If you want official tech support, open a chat session and see if support can remote into your computer.
I suspect you have other software (such as Dropbox) interfering with Bridge.

I replied to you about that.
Support already spent 2,5 hours remote controlling my pc without any succes that's why I'm asking here.
I don't have dropbox and all files are local.

We are not official support, if support couldn't fix it then there may not be help available. All we can do is offer ideas. At this point I'd find a technician who can do a deep dive with Process Explorer to see what is actually going on. This isn't a widespread issue, in fact I have not seen it reported before, so its something specific to your system.

I am having the same issue and looked on a forum from a couple years ago, and they had the same problem. I'm trying to delete files from my past trip to Alaska, and it's become fruitless.

Actually, I looked at the file numbers in Finder and Finder is 100% correct. Bridge, on the other hand, is NOT. Files I deleted are still showing and THEN the files I've not deleted have been replicated in BRIDGE ONLY and NOT in Finder. The first file has replicated itself 16 times as well as all the files that follow but ending with 18 times replicating and the one video replicated only 9 times.
My files are stored in a Seagate Expansion Hard Drive - 4 TB and I'm viewing thru Bridge on my Mac. I've used Seagate Hard Drives forever and never ever had this issue. Again, the Recycle Bin is 100% okay. Finder is 100% okay. It's Bridge that has the issues.

Okay, tried ejecting the Seagate Harddrive, letting it sit for a minute and plugged it back in. The files in Bridge are showing correctly - no replications. So...would this be a Seagate problem? Again, I've never had a problem with Seagate hard drives and have been using them for years. Thanks for your help and/or opinions.

I'd run Disk Utility on the drive. Sometimes the Bridge cache gets out of sync and purging cache or refreshing will fix it.

Would you recommend this only for the user above or also for me?

Windows has a different mechanism for checking drives.
