Endless Crashes to desktop.

I have the latest v of Bridge, latest video drivers and heaps of space and RAM.

Bridge now crashes to desktop every time I use it. Simply opening a picture file RAW or .jpg and it opens in Photoshop but freezes with a cryptic "Bridge has encountered a problem and needs to close" message.

In the last few days, a message has appeared along the liines of "Adobe has a solution or workaround.... Click here for details" and the link doesn't work!

I have disabled scripts and cleared the cache. Same outcome. Now virtually unusable.

Same here, crashes multiple times per day, especially after waking from sleep.

Are your photos stored on an external drive?  I have been having the same problem.  I have been watching my external drive activity.  As long as I wait for Bridge to stop writing to or accessing my external drive before I execute a new command (or start a new process in the software), all is good.  If I try to do anything at all while Bridge is working in my external drive Bridge freezes and crashes.

Now that is interesting. My .jpegs are on a SSD and my RAW imports are on
an internal HDD. After editing, I save to the SSD. When I open the RAW file
for editing in ACR that's when most crashes occur. e Bridge 2023 is
constantly indexing like mad.
I've rolled back to Bridge 2022 and have no problems at all.

Have similar problems, posted it here. https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge-discussions/bridge-freeze-with-camera-raw-and-crashes-with-mas...

Whats intersting, it works when I create a complete new mac user and start Bridge and Photoshop on that user with another Adobe account.

I'm very sorry, but I'm PC-ignorant. If you were on a Mac, I might have some ideas. Very sorry. But hopefully, a PC-wise support person will come along soon.

Hi @John Mal ,

Could you please share the Bridge and ACR version you are using, also please submit the crash report mentioning your email address, that would help us to investigate the issue.

Thanks,

Swati
