HELP!!! I upgraded my camera to Canon 5D Mark IV and Camera Raw can't read my files even though I updated it to the latest version

I updated Camera Raw and installed version 9.8 several times, however, Camera Raw still is not reading my RAW files. I am currently using CS6.

CS6 of PS can't use the newest ACR. You'll need to upgrade to the CC package of PS and LR or use the free DNG converter.

The DNG converter converts your CR2 files to DNG file and then you can view and edit them in ACR then open them in PS.

If you're running a Mac do a search for the Mac version.

Yes the DNG file retains all aspects of the original RAW file. DNG is a RAW file. A Digital NeGative .

Received Remote Help from Adobe. The problem ended up being Conflicting startup files on PC. They remotely disabled a few Startup programs. I am not sure which one was the conflict, but it worked. LR finds files on Camera as well as enabled tethered shooting,
