I cannot see thumbnail images for my NEF files in Bridge 2017 (Ver. 7.0.0.93) -- only the NEF icon. Which isn't of much use.
I have the latest Camera Raw installed (Ver. 9.12.0.784). I'm running all this on Mac OS Sierra (Ver. 10.12.5). The NEF image files are from a Nikon D750.
I have purged the cache and done all the other incremental list of things to try and address this problem from the Adobe site.
Obviously this is jolly annoying. Anybody know how I can make Bridge see the NEF thumbnails?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your reply Akash. I have been away for 6 weeks.
I have had much contact with Nikon since I posted. Basically, Nikon mis-designed their camera-to-computer Transfer software so that if used with a newer camera (not available when the software was released) it introduced a flaw into the NEF (RAW) file -- radically reducing the size of the NEF file and eliminating the preview thumbnail image from later Nikon software as well as Adobe (and other) software.
They recommended a third-party fix

Hi jimb,
Please refer this article Generic icons | Camera raw files | Adobe Bridge and let us know if that helps.
Thanks,

Hi Akash
Thanks for that. Yes, I did see that page (or a similar one) and went through the 'list of things' outlined on the page.
I still don't see thumbnails of NEF images in Bridge.
After some online research I'm beginning to think that my NEF files may have become corrupted using a previous version of Nikon Transfer software. And not seeing the thumbnails in Bridge may be the least of my problems. I am in communication with Nikon over that possibility.

That could be a possibility. Would you be able to share one of the NEF with me via PM. I'll check it at my end.
Thanks,
Akash

They recommended a third-party fix (Phil Harvey's tool at Fix Corrupted Nikon NEF Images ) which repaired all my NEF files from my D750.
We, and especially Nikon, owe a great debt of gratitude to Phil for his work on this, as Nikon DO NOT have a way of recovering Nikon RAW files corrupted in this manner.
