In the Bridge help, under
“Work with Bridge shared cache”,”Why and when do I need a shared cache” it says:
“It’s recommended that you do not use the shared cache feature if you are a sole user.”
HOW do you choose to use the shared cache or not?

Hi there,
Would you mind taking a look at this article https://helpx.adobe.com/in/bridge/using/centrally-manage-bridge-cache.html and let us know if that helps?
Thanks,
Akash

Thanks Akash,
But that article "Work with Bridge Shared Cache" unfortunately does not give any answer to the question HOW you can choose to use the SharedCache or the SingleCache.
For the moment, as a single PC user, I don’t go deeper into SharedCache.
--- --- ---
But since I have got some (16) ‘.BridgeSharedCache’ folders on my single PC I wonder:
Why have I got these SharedCache components on my single user system?
I tested to delete one .BridgeSharedCache and made Tools>Cache Management>Build and export the Cache for the Folder.
The ‘.BridgeSharedCache’ was recreated for the folder.
Has ‘.BridgeSharedCache’ replaced the ‘.bridgeCacheT’ as the folder cache. Do they have the same function?
Can a SingleCache system read ‘.BridgeSharedCache’?
It does not seem healthy to have both ‘.bridgeCacheT’ and ‘BridgeSharedCache’ in folders on my system.
Do I have SingleCache or SharedCache as my cache system?
