Issue:
One of the issues that arises when working with multiple teams on multiple projects is that inevitably some people occasionally do not adhere to naming protocol.  If a file or folder's name is then changed to correct the file name and it's not in a section within the documents "links" folder it is often lost to the program(unlinked/broken link). Time is lost relinking files after renaming, some times its 1 file, or 1 file with multiple instances (no big deal) other times its multiple files of varying types in various locations and it takes a lot more time to relink those.

Solution:
Bridge already "talks" to the majority if not all of the Adobe suite apps. The idea is for all relevant changes to files and folders done within Adobe Bridge to be noted and temporarily saved, when an indesign file is opened and it has missing links (while having Bridge open) it would allow for  Bridge to communicate to Indesign that "Folder A" was Changed to "Folder B" as well as any other files and folders that were renamed or moved. The Caveat, it only works if the changes are made using Bridge, doing changes natively in Finder or File Explorer wouldn't register (this would make implementing this feature much easier and much less of a strain on the computer)

I used Indesign specifically in this example but should/would work the same with all Adobe programs that use links.

Reasons for Adobe to Implement:

- Makes missing links a thing of the past

- Benefits all existing Bridge users

- Creates another reason for Creative Cloud customers to use Bridge (for those who don't)

- Promotes the use of Adobe Bridge over native or other 3rd Party file managers

- Increases the value of having and using creative cloud

Bridge is not a DAM app.

Its a free file manager/image browser linked to Adobe apps.

What you want is not possible nor would ever happen, unless you were willing to pay $1000 dollars which is what a good DAM application would cost.

You need  to look elsewhere for what you want to do.
