Is there a way to speed or completely remove the preview loading requirement?

Good day,

when using bridge, If I try to see the actual size in the preview windows (you click on the image and it zooms in on a certain area), I have to wait 5-10 seconds for the image to load. Until then, it looks pixelated. The actual previews (via spacebar) do not have the same behavior.

is there anything I can do so that I can zoom in immediately rather having to wait?

thank you

Hi,

Since preview loading needs a high resolution rendition of file to be generated, hence it is taking some time.

I will suggest two things

1. Update to latest version of Bridge (Bridge CC 2018, build number 8.1.0.383)

2. Force Bridge to generate high resolution previews for all image files, though this will be slow operation initially, but as Bridge will keep on generating preview in background, so overall you will have a better experience. Select "Always High Quality" menu item in view options, and try selecting "Generate 100% previews" if you don't have constraint for Hard Disk space use. Both the options are shown in screenshot below.

Since I never heard back on this, i found a solution to this by moving to a photo mechanic, btw.
