Hallo,

Hi Martin,
Have you tried resetting the preferences for Bridge.
Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
Regards,
Gautam

No connection to the stock account, Bridge freezes all the time, it is no longer possible to work with Bridge since the update to CC2017.
Thanks, Adobe! Well done!

Hi Gautam,
thanks for the help. Resetting the preferences has worked.
Please excuse my anger.
But I did not know the trick with the key combination at the start.

Hello Gautam,
I have the same problem as Norbert and used your suggested key combination to reset all the settings and things got better but still not satisfying.
Bridge is now faster but still freezes from time to time.
Do you have any other ideas how i can solve the freezing problem.
System is WIN 10 no service pack and the last CC update 2017.
Thanks in advance,
Michael

Hello GautamBahl,
just yesterday I updated all my Adobe programms to CC 2017 too. Unfortunately I have the same problem with Bridge, it makes it impossible to work with. It freezes right after startup and also states that it can't make a connection to Adobe Stock. From then on it works for about 10 seconds, then freezes for about 20 seconds. This repeats forever, I always only have a window of about 10-15 seconds to do something (be it marking/opening files or making settings in the preferences) - then it freezes.
I've already tried your suggestion with CTRL + ALT + SHIFT on startup, it didn't change anything. I also followed the instructions from the link you provided: Troubleshoot Adobe Bridge for errors and freezes
I'm really frustrated because it really hinders my workflow. I'm working in a company and also our IT-guy couldn't find any errors with Proxy or such.
Is there a way to go back to Bridge CC 2015? Because everything was working there. I have 32GB Ram and never had problems like this...
Thanks and best regards,
Tobias

Hello Gautam,
thanks for your reply and suggestion. I started my computer in safe mode and now it works fine. So how can we troubleshoot this now?
Best regards,

Hi Gautam,
I didn't get another answer because you probably thought my issue was fixed - maybe I wasn't clear enough on my last comment, sorry. What I meant to say is that Bridge CC worked fine in Safe mode - but I can't continue to work in Safe Mode all the time. Once I log back in normally, the same error appears that makes it impossible to work with. Please help me to troubleshoot this - what can I do?
Best regards,
Tobias

Hi Tobias,
If the application is working in safe mode and not in normal mode it could be an issue with startup items as well as third party services.
I will recommend you to perform a disable the startup items as well as the third party services after hiding the Microsoft services and reboot the machine.
Please refer to the below article on how to perform that.

Hello Gautam,
I've tried this and disabled everything but unfortunately this solution didn't change anything on my issue. I've tried something else however out of a feeling: I started in safe mode but with network drivers enabled and then the error reappeared. So some proxy or so in our network must be causing this.
Afterwards I tried Bridge again in my standard windows with everything running except for the network adapter which I disabled: everything works fine then.
I know for you this sounds now as a finished issue, but I still would be glad if you have any further idea what we could change in our network so these freezes don't happen anymore even with network enabled. As I said - this didn't happen on previous versions of Bridge and we didn't change anything in our network recently. We have a restricted internet access in our company but all Adobe pages have been whitelisted. I also correctly saved my proxy password in the adobe cloud manager.
Some background process must be running in Bridge that tries to access something that is prohibited by our network. It's always the same pattern, I've used a timer now:
On startup: Bridge Freezes for 21.8 seconds.
Then it works for 30.2 seconds.
After that it always freezes for ~20 seconds and works only for ~10 seconds. This loop continues until I crash it.
Thanks if you have any further idea what process is running like this and how I can disable it - or whitelist it.
Best regards,
Tobias

Unfortunately still nothing... Did you sent it to the email account with which I signed up? Is there a way to give you an alternative (my private) email? Can I send you a PM? I don't want to post this on the web.
Or I'll send you an email and you reply? Please advise, thanks

Dear Gautam,
I'm currently having the exact same problems mentioned above concerning the use of a proxy server. I already reset preferences and also reinstalled Bridge - also I'm having the same problems on more than one computer in the network.
Bridge freezes in intervals of about 15-20 seconds.
I could definitly narrow down the cause of the Bridge freezes to the proxy - the moment I connect to the web directly, everything runs perfectly well. I think it is the adobe Stock integration in Bridge, that doesn't recognize the proxy (tried with direct settings as well as a pac file) - no connection to adobe Stock possible. When I bypass the proxy, Adobe Stock connection is established and Bridge is lightning fast again..
Looking forward to your help,
Alexander
